Our Philosophy
Our business philosophy is very conservative, and
we emphasize honesty, courtesy, service and professionalism in all
areas of business.
Company History
Ryan Marine Services, Inc. evolved from the
shrimp fishing business operated by Richard R. Ryan in the
mid-seventies to serve a market that arose during the "gas crunch"
era when numerous supertankers were anchored offshore waiting to
lighter cargoes of crude oil. These tankers, many of which were
anchored offshore for several months, had no way to get supplies and
spare parts, or to relieve crewmembers. Richard Ryan, who was
operating two gulf shrimp-boats at that time, was approached to
carry supplies, mainly groceries and potable water, to the tankers.
Over the next several years the shrimp boats were phased out and
replaced with crewboats and supply/utility boats to better service the
market. Currently, Ryan Marine Services, Inc. operates and
maintains a total of fifteen vessels.
Commitment to Safety/Environment
Ryan
Marine Services, Inc. recognizes and accepts its responsibilities
as an employer to provide safe working conditions for its
employees. Additionally, the company is committed to operating
in a way that prevents harm to the environment in which it conducts
its business |
